Chiropractic care is a health care profession focused on the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders associated with the spine and extremity joints. Chiropractic services are used most often to treat common musculoskeletal complaints, including but not limited to back pain, neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches.
Dr. Behrend seeks to fully evaluate a patients condition using a comprehensive examination that can include: Physical, orthopedic, and neurological examinations, functional movement assessment, gait analysis, postural evaluation, joint motion palpation, muscle flexibility and strength evaluation, X-rays and/or MRI.
Treatment is aimed at reducing pain and improving joint function and mechanics. Treatments can include: Spinal adjustments/manipulations, decompression therapies, dry needling, rehabilitation exercises, ergonomic considerations, and self-management recommendations.
